Okonkwo and Ejiofor score as Iroko Horns beat the leaders and take first place.
Iroko Park was full an hour before kick-off, and the North Terrace never sat down.
Okigwe Stars arrived top of the league and unbeaten in five. They left second. Ugochukwu Okonkwo opened the scoring on 31 minutes, turning in Ebuka Onwuka's low cross at the near post for his sixth goal of the season.
Okigwe pushed after the break, and Chibuike Okafor made two sharp saves to keep his third clean sheet. Kenechukwu Ejiofor settled it on 78 minutes, running onto a long Emeka Uzor pass and finishing across the keeper.
“We asked for courage on the ball and the players gave it,” said head coach Nkem Achebe. “The table is nice to look at. We have fourteen games left.”
The Horns travel to Ikwuano Stars on 7 November, then host Arochukwu Lions at Iroko Park a week later.
